A very genuine restaurant hidden away in the mountains. Great local dishes, and seems to be mostly frequented by locals (which is a good sign). Great fondue.

Fab! Friendly staff. Great coffee! Nice hideout from the rain too. Unfortunately no nice view because of the rain. Definitely worth a visit. Cycle friendly!

We had been driving up and down mountains including Col de la Forclaz and thinking of lunch, and if we would drive to Annecy. By change we drove past La Baratte, stopped and soon realized we had found a gem! The plat de jour was my choice and great. Overall the food was fabulous and authentic, the service was warm and excellent value for money and the atmosphere vibrant. The bathroom was suitable for the most fastidious.
